Tolls and FASTag

Toll on this road is set by a State Government notification and paid by FASTag.

How the fee is set

Toll on a state road in Maharashtra is collected under a notification issued by the State Government. For each project the notification sets the fee for every class of vehicle, lists the vehicles that are exempt and fixes the dates on which the fee is revised. Neither the Company nor the staff at a plaza can change it.

Paying with FASTag

By a decision of the State Cabinet in January 2025, FASTag has been mandatory at toll plazas on Maharashtra state roads since 1 April 2025. A vehicle without a valid, working FASTag is charged double the fee for its class.

The FASTag annual pass sold for national highways is not valid at toll plazas on state roads. There, the tag works as an ordinary FASTag and the fee is charged for each crossing.

If a deduction looks wrong, for example a double charge or a charge for the wrong class of vehicle, take it up with the bank that issued your FASTag. The bank has the transaction record and handles refunds.

Complaints about toll collection
